Woman killed in Arlington Heights hit and run crash – NBC Los Angeles

Police are looking for the driver who hit a woman at a crosswalk in Arlington Heights before fleeing, leaving the woman behind.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the driver initially stopped the car, got out, and then got back into the car before departing moments later.

The accident happened around 2:20 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of Pico Boulevard and Wilton Place.

Companies did have surveillance cameras that recorded the incident.

The next frame of the video shows a flash of light — the vehicle that hit Washington and took off.

ShawnKel Washington, pictured at right, was a 27-year-old waitress who was beaten and killed at a crosswalk on Saturday night.

The victim was pronounced dead on the spot.

The LAPD is still looking for the driver of the vehicle that hit her. The car is described as a white Nissan sedan.
