Which non-qualifying match for Eurovision 2022 Semi-Final 1 was your favourite?

Seventeen countries competed for the first semifinal of Eurovision 2022. Among them were the eventual winners of the Eurovision Song Contest — Ukraine — and other Top 10 finishers Moldova, Greece, Portugal and Norway

To join them in the grand final were Netherlands, Armenia, Lithuania, Switzerland and Iceland

The unlucky seven who got the pork chop were: Albania, Latvia, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Denmark and Austria.

We can safely say that Ronela Hajati from Albania and LUM!X from Austria are a feat. Pia Maria was a fan favorite going into the match.

Ronela’s provocative performance — leading to a lot of chatter during the first rehearsals — earned a Top 10 spot in the semi-finals with the audience. But juries didn’t feel it, and ranked her 14th.

Meanwhile, LUM!X and Pia Maria came up with a strong stage concept: a large industrial halo that radiated light and channels the club. Unfortunately, Pia’s vocals lacked the shine of her gag.

Croatian Mia Dimsic finished 11th overall. But we can’t say she missed ‘barely’. She was a whopping 28 points behind 10th place act Systur from Iceland.
