WAUKESHA, Wis. – Darrell Brooks Jr. was convicted on all 76 charges on Wednesday for his role in the six deaths and dozens injured in the tragedy of the 2021 Waukesha Christmas Parade, in which he drove an SUV through crowds celebrating a sacred urban tradition.
After she was sequestered Tuesday night, the jury announced that she would rule early on Wednesday. It took the jury just over three hours to find Darrell Brooks guilty on all charges, including six counts of willful premeditated manslaughter, leading to life sentences.
Brooks looked down, hid his face in his hands and rested on his forehead as the verdict was read.
