Less than a day after issuing a cooking recommendation for parts of Pierrefonds-Roboxo, city officials cut off the water supply to the area.
Repair crews are conducting emergency work to repair a damaged pipe as quickly as possible, the city said. The municipality will send a message as soon as the situation has been rectified.
Residents affected by the interruption will receive drinking water from 12:00 on Friday, the city of Montreal said in a tweet on Thursday† It is distributed directly to residences.
The affected area includes Pierrefonds Blvd. between St Charles Blvd. and Nanterre St., as well as between Guillaume and Émile-Nelligan St., the city said.
A boiling water advice issued late Wednesday afternoon will remain in effect until further notice.
