Valerie Bertinelli is happy to be single these days.

The 62-year-old Hot In Cleveland star sat down on the Today show on Thursday to share whether or not she wants to date again after filing for divorce from Tom Vitale, 58, who recently asked for marital support from the celebrity.

“I’ve got some trust issues,” the brunette beauty said as she burst into tears. “I’ll be more than happy to be happily divorced and spend the rest of my life alone.”

The actress was previously married to Eddie Van Halen, lead guitarist for rock band Van Halen, from 1981 to 2007.

She was then married to Vitale from 2011 to 2021, until the two were legally divorced.

The Food Network star discussed her separation from her second husband in divorcing after 11 years of marriage.

While she has no plans to potentially remarry, the star is certainly not all alone.

She said she has “six cats and my dog ​​and my son, and hopefully some grandchildren.”

Bertinelli has one son, Wolf Van Halen, who followed in his father’s footsteps and is also a musician.

When asked if she will ever seek love again, the star simply replied, “Oh God, no.”

The One Day At A Time actress explained the reason is because she “can’t imagine ever trusting anyone again to let me into my life.” So I have some trust issues that I’m sure I’ll have to overcome.”

Last month, Bertinelli officially filed for divorce from Vitale due to ‘irreconcilable differences’.

She also said she never expected to get divorced twice. “Divorce sucks,” she said.

She married the financial planner in 2011, in the presence of her ex-husband Eddie Van Halen and her son Wolf. When Eddie remarried in 2019, Bertinelli was also a guest.

After her divorce from Van Halen, the two developed a close relationship until his death in 2020.
