Those with eagle eyes may have already noticed that artwork for Upfest 2022 has already appeared all over South Bristol. Europe’s largest street art festival promises to be ‘bigger and better than ever’ this year, after a two-year hiatus, to mark its 15th anniversary.
The festival returns to its traditional format with a twist on May 28 and 29. Fans can expect incredible murals on the streets of Bedminster from the latest street art talents throughout the month for the next few weeks. Then, after three weeks of street painting, hundreds of artists will paint live over the festival weekend with festival hubs at the Tobacco Factory and Ashton Gate Stadium.
This year, Upfest will use Greville Smyth Park as its main venue for the first time, with music and live painting in the green space over the weekend. And as if this wasn’t exciting enough, there are plenty of activities for families and children during the anniversary weekend.
