UAE-Australia Joint Commission Discusses Defense Cooperation

The UAE-Australia Joint Committee on Military Cooperation held its 11th meeting in the Australian capital, Canberra, from 23 to 27 May.
The Ministry of Defense delegation was led by Major General Staff Pilot Mubarak Ali Al Neyadi, Head of the Executive Department for Defense Policy and Strategic Affairs.
During the visit, the delegation had several meetings with the Australian Defense Force Commander and his deputy, as well as with a number of Australian Ministry of Defense leaders and agents, where they discussed the relations of joint cooperation between the two countries, and ways to develop them in various defense fields, in addition to discussing some interesting issues. The delegation conveyed the greetings of His Excellency Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Bowardi, Minister of State for Defence, and His Excellency Lieutenant General Hamad Mohammed Thani Al Rumaithi, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, to the Australian Ministry of Defence. The delegation visited the Australian War Memorial, where a wreath was laid as part of the official ceremonies of the visit, in the presence of the Deputy Commander of the Australian Defense Force. At the conclusion of the visit, the Australian Ministry of Defense awarded Major General Mubarak Al Neyadi with a star for the outstanding achievement of the Australian Ministry of Defense, in recognition of its dedicated efforts in developing joint cooperation between the two countries.
