Family dress up! Tim McGraw, Faith Hill and their three daughters went all out for a theme night inspired by the historical comedy drama The big.
“Our Friday night themed dinner was @thegreathulu. If you haven’t seen it… you absolutely HAVE to because it’s one of the best performed shows I’ve seen in years,” the duo’s 25-year-old daughter, Gracie, wrote via Instagram on Monday, Dec. 19. various photos and videos of the occasion.
Hill, 55, put on a powdered wig in an instant with her husband, 55, and their girls – Gracie, Maggie, 24, and Audrey, 21 – and friend of the family Sarah Crowe.
After the themed dinner—which featured a menu that included baked potatoes, shish kebab, and soup—the McGraw sisters enjoyed some dessert jokes.
“Maggie made Bird’s Milk cake and as you can see, we (me) had a lot of fun with it,” Gracie wrote in the caption, referring to the clips of her and Maggie punching cake in each other’s faces. “And then I acted bitchy because @audreymcgraw didn’t want cake on her dress. Being an older sister is fun sometimes. Maggie is also incredibly strong and it’s a little scary.
The very well evening was the second time this month the family has bonded over a slice of pop culture.
“The Godfather dinner theme night last night,” McGraw captioned a Wednesday, Dec. 14 Instagram slideshow of the clan dressed as mobsters. “I love my family and all the craziness that comes with it!”
The “Like Like You Were Dying” musician – who married Hill in 1996 – has previously opened up about his daughters’ unique personalities.
“They’re all completely different creatures,” he said Good morning America in June. “But they all have big hearts, and they’re all very polite and they really respect people, and they all feel like they want to make a difference in the world. Hopefully we taught them that.”
When asked if his kids are more like him or their mother, he replied, “It’s funny because Faith and I talked about that a little bit, and I think we see each other in all three.” … We’ve also always given them a chance to explore themselves a little bit and find out who they are and try things out.
The “Breathe” singer, for her part, is sad that her girls are all grown and living on their own.
“We are now empty nesters. It’s heartbreaking, it’s so hard,” Hill said during a performance in February on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
