Thousands of birds die from deadly bird flu – Channel 4 News

Thousands of seabirds in colonies across the country are dying from avian flu and are washing up along our east coast from Scotland to Suffolk.

A deadly strain of the virus has made its way from poultry to seabirds and has spread rapidly in recent weeks.

Defra has set up a task force to watch the spread and try to prevent the deadly H5N1 from becoming a pandemic.
