His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, received in Qasr Al Bahr Majlis the winners of the “Waterfalls International Award” for health education, several members of the jury and the award team, in the presence of Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister

His Highness congratulated the winners of the award, including doctors, nurses and families from the first line of defense who lost their lives performing their humanitarian duties and the award team

The award’s working team assessed humanitarian goals and future initiatives aimed at upholding human values ​​and appreciating the sacrifices and efforts of the frontlines of societies.

For their part, the winners – representing different countries – expressed their great happiness at winning this prize, emphasizing that it pays tribute to the values ​​of giving and giving in the service of humanity and an appreciation for the sacrifices made by the first line of defense to preserve the life and security of their communities.

It is noteworthy that the “Water Falls Award” was launched by the UAE in the month of November 2021 to implement the guidelines of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan as it is one of the country’s global contributions in honoring workers in the first lines of defense around the world in appreciation for their vital role, humanitarian services and sacrifices in protecting their communities and security, especially during the “Covid-19” pandemic.

300 participants from around the world were nominated for the award, of whom 78 qualified and 15 won the award

The Water Falls Global Medical Global Initiative “Emirates World Initiative” partners with international scientific and academic institutions to provide participants with training certificates and credit hours that provide continuing education to health professionals around the world and provide a virtual platform for specialized training, including more than 1 .3 million people from 197 countries.

80 international destination organizations participate in Waterfalls initiatives, including: the Mediterranean Parliament, the Red Cross State Committee, Doctors Without Borders, the International Federation of Hospitals, in-country health departments, the New York Forum for Medicine and Public Health, and the dental federation of the Arab Maghreb
