The One Show: Claudia Winkleman ‘Gives Away’ Strictly Rumor

Claudia Winkleman joked that she was “fired” from Strictly after she appeared to make a change in this year’s upcoming series.

The presenter, 50, appeared on The One Show when she was grilled by hosts Alex Jones and Gethin Jones for details on the BBC dance competition.

“They don’t tell me anything,” she said to Alex and Gethin. “They tell me after they tell Tess and the press because I’m leaking.”

Gethin asked her, “We’re getting some new faces, aren’t we? Now that Oti and Aljaz are leaving, are we getting some new professional dancers?”

“I think new ones are coming—” Claudia stopped herself before shaking her head. “I’m not sure if I’m allowed to say that. Maybe I won’t. I just got fired. My phone just buzzed!

“But yes, there might be a few new professional dancers.”

It comes after viewers were dissatisfied earlier this week when they watched an interview with legendary actor Rowan Atkinson.

Atkinson, 67, appeared on the show alongside Top Gear’s Chris Harris, while being interviewed by hosts Jermaine Jenas and Angela Scanlon.

Viewers were outraged by Rowan Atkinson’s interview this week

He would talk on the show about the new Netflix series Man vs Bee, in which he stars as father Trevor Bingley, who works as a nanny in a lavish mansion.

Still, fans were deeply disappointed when they complained that the comedy icon wasn’t getting enough opportunities to speak, accusing the presenters of constantly interrupting him.

One viewer ranted on Twitter: “I don’t think I’ve ever seen a more awkward dude than Rowan Atkinson. The introvert comes out, clearly not an experience he enjoys. #TheOneShow.”

While another was furious: “It doesn’t help that he has much to say, but they haven’t given him time and keep trying to shut him up.”

Fans wanted to hear Rowan speak

A third sawed, “#TheOneShow futile to get your hands on Rowan Atkinson if you ask him a question and then just keep going and trying to silence him.”

“Wasted! You had the incredibly talented Rowan Atkinson in the studio and you barely spoke to him and when you did you quickly cut him to death! C**P presented #TheOneShow,” another raged.

Another pleaded: “You’ve got Rowan Atkinson. Talk to him!! #theoneshow.”
