What a difference a few years makes. When the Disney acquisition of Star Wars took place for the first time, Cartoon Network fans Clone Wars series were distraught that the mouse house had no intention whatsoever of continuing the beloved series. Instead, Disney tried to target a decidedly younger audience with: Star Wars: Rebels† Even though fans brought rebels-some rather reluctantly—they still demanded a decent continuation of Clone Wars† For a moment it seemed as if Clone Wars was dead.
After a few outdated sequels, Disney screamed for a new lease of life Star Wars property that would prevent the franchise from becoming a money pit. As a result, Clone Wars was not only renewed for a final season, but also got a spin-off in Star Wars: The Bad Batch† You can watch the trailer for the second season of the critically acclaimed animated series in the video linked above.
