“Like The Espy, the house was a beautiful old Victorian building that just needed some love and attention, but the bones were excellent,” he said.

“Even the additions over the years have been done very respectfully, it just needed a little love and, like The Espy, without ripping the soul out of the place, so that’s what we did.

“We’ve worked with a lot of people who worked on The Espy, especially Meg Milton.”

Milton, whose handiwork can be seen in the beautifully weathered walls of the revamped iconic St Kilda pub, did the pink and green walls of the house’s front rooms.

Interior designer Eleisha Gray, who has spent the last decade working “on virtually all” Sand Hill Road locations, also worked on the home.

The Richmond Club, Garden State, The Posty, and Prahran Hotel are some of the group’s venues; they sold The Espy to Australian Venue Co in the middle of the year. for about $100 million.

They are currently working on the transformation of the CBD’s Waterside Hotel.

Mr Mullins said he and wife Sophie loved renovating properties and so would be moving onto the next project, with their three children under 10 in tow.

“We spend a lot of time there having fun with our kids and family and friends,” he said.

“We absolutely loved hearing the screams of kids from the front sports field, jumping on the bum, then making pizzas with the adults in the back, kitchen, living room there, with kids jumping in the pool, outside the diving board, sitting in the spa.”

“For us, it’s all about having large groups of family and friends.”

Two major changes the family made were adding a home theater and gym by the pool.

Mr Pillios said it was a rare opportunity near Brighton’s Golden Mile.

“It’s a one-level dream, with so much character,” he said.

The submission of expressions of interest closes on December 13 at 5:00 pm.
