Samantha Jade is candid about the personal anguish she endured while performing on the final season of Celebrity Apprentice Australia.

The 35-year-old singer said she would return home exhausted and in tears after a day of filming Channel Nine’s hit reality series.

In a touching confession, Samantha credited her fiancé, ex-Sony Music executive Pat Handlin, for helping her through the tough times.

“I feel for all the partners when we were filming,” she told Now To Love. “Because the days are very long, and it becomes a bubble.”

She said Pat reminded her that there was a world “beyond the show.”

Dinners and walks with the couple’s Cavoodle dog Banks were also helpful to the winner of The X-Factor when it came to dealing with “the craziness” she found on the Celebrity Apprentice set.

“I think X Factor is a little bit safer for me because singing is my comfort zone,” she added.

Elsewhere in the interview, Samantha said she was thrilled to represent the Cancer Council on Celebrity Apprentice, which she described as her dream charity.

Samantha has her own personal connection to the disease.

Her mother Jacqui Gibbs died of cancer in 2014 and she said she is grateful for trying to raise money to fight the disease on the show.

Samantha recently described the fear of having to move her wedding three times because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The hitmaker has been engaged to Pat since 2019 and plans to walk down the aisle soon.

‘Finally we’re getting back in’ [wedding] planning mode again. I started three times and had to cancel every time, which was terrible,” she told TV Week.
