Celebrity Big Brother winner Rylan Clark is considered to be the clear frontrunner to become the reality show’s next host when it returns to UK screens in 2023
Rylan Clark is a clear favorite to host Big Brother when the reality show returns to our screens in 2023 after a five-year absence.
After winning Celebrity Big Brother in 2013, Rylan also hosted the show’s spin-off program Bit On The Side.
He’s also been reported to be so eager to land the gig that he’s messaged a handful of producers about the new series.
A source told The Sun that Rylan is a more likely candidate for the new job than the show’s previous hosts Davina McCall and Emma Willis, saying: “Rylan put himself at the center of a number of television producers the moment he discovered Big Brother was coming back.
“He absolutely loves the show and when the news broke he texted a handful of people to show how excited he was about the return of Big Brother. Rylan couldn’t have made it clearer with his intention – he would love that job.

“Those working on the early stages of production feel the same way and this role was created for Rylan. He is for many the first choice of host over Davina and Emma.”
Added the source. “Rylan is really current and has a huge following, plus his love for Big Brother makes him the ultimate fan. There really is no one better placed to take it on.”
Both the celebrity and civilian versions of Big Brother were last filmed in 2018, but Rylan presented Big Brother: Best Shows Ever at E4 with Davina two years ago.
He never hid his desire to host the show and has regularly lobbied for the program’s return.
In January, he explained his thoughts, saying: “Big Brother was like a kid to me – doing Big Brother’s Bit on the Side every night became more of a lifestyle than a job. Big Brother completely changed my life – a real 360 – and I miss it very much and I just think if it came back now it could come back the same but so different now.
Bookmakers William Hill have installed Rylan as the 9/4 favorite to become the next Big Brother host.
Davina is closest at 5/1 with other former hosts Emma Willis and Brian Dowling 8/1 and 9/1 respectively.

However, former GMTV host Piers Morgan is a maverick for the job at 50/1.
William Hill spokesperson, Tony Kenny, said: “Receiving hosting duties on Big Brother is a pretty big gig and Rylan seems a very likely candidate to get the part, especially given he has experience on the show as both a contestant and a host.
“He leads the bet on 9/4, with Davina McCall on his tail at 5/1 ahead of Vernon Kay at 1-7 and Josie Gibson at 1-8.”
The full bets are: Rylan Clark 9/4; Davina McCall 5/1; Vernon Kay 7/1; Josie Gibson 8/1; Emma Willis 8/1; Alison Hammond 9/1; Brian Dowling 12/1; Holly Willoughby 14/1; Dermot O’Leary 14/1; Phillip Schofield 16/1; Keith Citroen 16/1; Emily Atack 16/1; Paddy McGuinness 16/1; Marvin Humes 16/1; Fearne Cotton 20/1; Scarlett Moffatt 20/1; AJ Odudu 20/1; Piers Morgan 50/1.
