NSW’s overstretched health care system is getting a shot in the arm with a workforce expansion.
Prime Minister Dominic Perrottet said $4.5 billion would create more than 10,000 new health workers over the next four years.
These include doctors, nurses, paramedics, and paramedics.
Current health workers will also receive a $3,000 payment as a thank you for their efforts during the pandemic.
Perrottet also promised a 6.5 percent pay increase for public sector workers over the next two years.
