Russia “furiously bombs” Ukraine’s Kharkiv, city mayor says

Russia-Ukraine War: The Russian invasion of Ukraine has entered Day 57.

Kharkiv, Ukraine:

Ukraine’s second-largest city, Kharkov, was heavily bombed on Thursday, Mayor Ihor Terekhov said.

“Huge explosions, the Russian Federation is furiously bombing the city,” Terekhov said in a televised speech.

He said about 1 million people remain in the northeastern city, while about 30% of the population has been evacuated, mostly women, children and the elderly.
