Runaway driver crashes into 12-year-old girl in NYC

Disturbing footage captured the moment a police-wanted motorist hit a 12-year-old girl while speeding down a street in the Bronx.

The terrifying scene unfolded as the preteen attempted to cross the street for 1711 Boone Avenue around 4:25 p.m. Sunday, the NYPD said.

Video from the department shows the moment when the girl runs onto the road between two cars and is hit head-on by the BMW, first sending one of her shoes and cell phone into the air.

The girl then rolls onto the hood and roof of the car before flipping over and being violently flung to the ground while the vehicle is still in motion, video footage shows.

The driver of the car stops for a moment while the girl is lying in the street, before driving away.

The girl suffered cuts and bruises all over her body and was transported by paramedics to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition, police said.
