Publitics, a leading New Jersey public affairs and political consultancy, is expanding into the nation’s capital.
Jennica Sims has joined the company as a director and will work for Publitics in Washington, the company’s directors Matt Krayton and Henry de Koninck announced today.
“A ramped-up presence in Washington, DC, overseen by Jennica, marks continued success for our team and will assist us in our mission to continuously provide our clients with the best-in-class strategic advisor,” said Krayton.
Sims was director of political engagement at DataRobot, an AI startup company.
She participated in Councilman Upendra Chivukula’s bid for the Democratic nomination to Congress in New Jersey’s 12th district in 2014 and as executive director of the Somerset County Democratic Committee in 2015. She also served in New Hampshire as regional field director for Run. Warren Run, a grassroots project that sought to build support for U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren as a candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2016.
Sims has worked for a number of industry associations, including the College of American Pathologists, the American Physical Therapy Association, and the International Wood Products Association. At DataRobot, she led a lobbying effort on the European Union Artificial Intelligence Act.
“From the trenches of New Jersey politics to Silicon Valley, to the convention halls, Jennica has the connections, expertise and knowledge to address our clients’ biggest leverage challenges,” said de Koninck.
Publicitics recently won a Reed Award for an independent publication that boosted Governor Phil Murphy’s re-election victory in 2021.
“It’s an honor to be able to cement a place for the Publitics team here in Washington, DC,” said Sims. “I look forward to adding a new dimension to our customers and helping them realize their potential inside and outside the Beltway.”
