Private schools allow students to complete the school year from home

Private schools in Abu Dhabi have offered the option of homeschooling for the remainder of the current academic year, as part of their plans to take more preventive measures during the exam period.

The schools reiterated their assurances to the families of the students that the child should not be sent to school if they show symptoms of “Covid-19”.

In detail, private schools reported that because of the approaching end of the school year, and if the family prefers their child to study at home, and although schools are not allowed to conduct classes directly over the Internet (online education), the school will of the daily lessons. The school’s e-learning program stipulates that the child can access and interact with the lessons sent, and perform the required tasks so that they are considered “attended” and not recorded in their absence.

The Ministry of Education and Knowledge had decided to bring back all school stages with the classroom education model, starting from the current semester (the third semester) until the end of the academic year, with the exception of medical cases documented according to an approved medical report , since schools had to provide the option of distance learning only in the event of closure The school, or only two categories of students, who are “high-risk” medical cases, and students who show respiratory symptoms related to “Covid-19”.

The procedures for the third semester include the abolition of mandatory physical distancing in closed areas and classrooms at the beginning of the next semester, while continuing the mandatory wearing of masks in closed places, with the exception of preschool children.
