Prince Harry ‘absolutely furious’ by treatment during Queen’s Jubilee, claims expert

Royal biographer Angela Levin claims Harry looked angry during the service of thanksgiving – the only anniversary event the Sussexes attended publicly – with icy tensions still lingering

A royal expert believes Prince Harry is “absolutely furious” over his treatment during the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

The Sussexes attended a public anniversary event – the Thanksgiving service at St Paul’s. They sat in the second row and across the aisle from Kate and Prince William, with the couples not acknowledging each other and not exchanging eye contact.

Prior to the service to mark the Queen’s 70th reign, Harry could be seen laughing at jokes and chatting with family and friends as he sat next to his wife.

Angela Levin, who wrote the Duke of Sussex’s biography, told The Sun: “What really struck me that day was Harry’s anger – he wears his emotions on his face and he looked absolutely furious.

“He may have felt many things, I don’t know if he had a wave of feeling about what he gave up. He is self-destructive and may regret what he lost, perhaps he recalled bad memories and wished he were completely hadn’t come.”

The Sussexes were also shunned from a balcony appearance at Buckingham Palace, with the Queen having only working royals in the lineup for Trooping the Colour.

Harry and Meghan were also eager for their own photographer to capture the moment the Queen first met their daughter in Windsor – reportedly they “didn’t get a chance” because it was a private moment.

The photographer has not been named, but their friend and regular snapper Misan Harriman snapped the photo of Lilibet at Frogmore Cottage on Saturday to mark her first birthday.

Harry and Meghan did not spend any private time with Prince William, Kate, George, Charlotte and Louis during the anniversary, it is reported, and William’s family is unlikely to have ever met Lilibet.

An insider said the brothers’ relationship remains “charged” after the Sussex’s transatlantic “truth bombs” about the royal family on Oprah and friendly podcasts in the US.

Obviously, William and Harry did not meet in private during the four-day celebrations, with Harry quickly returning to California and not thinking about checking his brother’s diary to smooth things out.
