One dead after police chase and shooting in Ontario

A police chase that began in Ontario and entered Pomona ended in a shooting that left one person dead Friday night, authorities confirmed.

cpl. Bill Lee, a spokesman for the Ontario Police Department, said he could not confirm whether an officer’s gunshot killed the suspect or whether the suspect was armed.

Officers attempted to pull over a vehicle in the Mission Boulevard and Magnolia Avenue area of ​​Ontario at 7:37 PM, but the driver did not give up and officers gave chase, Lee said.
