OK Theater Returns To Threat To Fast Forward Through ‘Lightyear’ Kiss: PHOTO

An Oklahoma movie theater has its initial decision to fast-forward through a same-sex kiss at Disney’s Toy Story spin off, light year after considerable criticism online.

The management team at the 89er Theater in Kingfisher, Oklahoma put up a sign on the theater’s front door warning parents of “a scene in which same-sex kissing occurs within the first 30 minutes,” and promised to flip through it quickly, while his recognized efforts to prevent customers. from seeing it “maybe not exact.”

An image of the board – which quickly went viral – can be seen below.

The theater’s owner later told local news channel KOCO 5 that it would be released light year uninterrupted and the sign was removed.

At least one patron who spoke to the news station felt the fuss over the characters sharing the same-sex kiss — one of which, Hawthorne, is voiced by Orange is the new black actress Uzo Aduba – was exaggerated.

Jill Stuever, a woman who took her two sons to see the film, said the scene was “two seconds, maybe one second if you were really paying attention.”

Stuever is right, as you can see below.

The news that the sign had been removed was widely welcomed.

But the cinema’s owners were not above further criticism.

Disney had initially succumbed to homophobic pearls hanging across the stage.

They chose to reinstate it after reluctance from LGBTQ+ employees at the Pixar division, who said they had “personally witnessed wonderful stories, full of diverse characters, returning from Disney corporate reviews shaved to crumbs of what they ever were.”

Earlier this week, Republican Senator Ted Cruz of Texas commented on the film by complaining about “lesbian toys.”

Cruz added, “the last time I checked, most of the toys are a bit androgynous” and they are “usually without genitalia”. He suggested that if Disney is to make movies with such content, it should choose to broadcast it only on Cinemax, a network that Disney does not own.
