Official art turns the ninjas into vampires

The ninjas of Konoha have had some wild adventures in Narutoof Boruto: Naruto Next Generations introducing anime fans to a new generation of protectors of the ninja world. While Masashi Kishimoto’s Shonen franchise has seen many transformations for both heroes and villains, a new partnership between the anime and the company in Japan, known as Don Quijote, is officially taking the opportunity to imagine what some of the greatest characters of the Naruto series could look like they were also creatures of the night.

Don Quijote is a discount store in Japan that offers a number of goods, but this new crossover merchandise presents the ninjas like we’ve never seen them before. Through the whole story of Naruto, Naruto: Shippuden and Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, has not entered the world of the supernatural very often, and there has never been a vampiric threat to the Hidden Leaf Village. While the manga stuck to the battles against the Akatsuki and the Kara Organization, the anime-only episodes of the series took the opportunity to throw some wild elements into the TV show, including a Naruto robot and a talking ostrich to just to name a few. Perhaps one day the next generation of ninjas will have to take on vampires in some anime-only stuff.

Naruto Shippuden and Don Quijote unveiled the new depictions of the likes of Itachi Uchiha, Sasuke, Sakura, Naruto, Kakashi and Gaara as supernatural vampires, with merchandise due out later this year that will mix the world of ninjas with the supernatural:

In the current chapters of the manga, Boruto and Kawaki take over a new version of the Kara organization, following the deaths of Jigen and the Nine-Tailed Fox. With the young failed ship known as Code, he seeks revenge for the death of his mentor and achieve the goals of the Otsutsuki. Code may have added new dangerous members to its roster of rogue ninjas, but it seems Kara is still raw.
