NRL 2022: Reuben Cotter baby news with girlfriend Mackenzie Falco, Instagram photos

A Queensland star is enjoying the biggest week of his life after he and his partner shared the first photos of their big baby news.

It doesn’t get any better than this.

Cowboys star Reuben Cotter is experiencing the biggest week of his life after announcing the birth of his first daughter, less than a week after his home state debut.

The star striker announced his big baby news Sunday night in a shared Instagram post with partner Mackenzie Falco.

The post announced the healthy arrival of Saturday-born daughter Sunny.

A second photo shows the couple embracing their first child while still in the hospital.

“Our Sunny girl,” reads the caption of the post.

“We didn’t know how much our hearts needed you until this moment.”

Cotter admitted last week that he was nervous about missing the birth after being selected to play for Queensland in Wednesday’s series opener in Sydney.

Instead, he made a dream debut where he finished with a 119m run and 51 tackles in the Maroons’ upset victory.

He wanted to fly home to Townsville as soon as possible after the win.

“I called my partner (first to tell her I was selected) — she’s home, heavily pregnant,” Cotter said earlier this month.

“We are expecting a little one in the coming weeks. We’re pretty excited.

“Fingers crossed that she can wait the next few weeks and time it perfectly.”

That’s exactly what happened.

A number of Cowboys and Queensland teammates posted their congratulations to the pair on Instagram, including Chad Townsend and Felise Kaufusi.
