Metra service resumes after Amtrak train hits pedestrian in Glenview – NBC Chicago

Trains running on Metra’s Milwaukee District North Line resumed delays Friday night after an Amtrak train hit a pedestrian in Glenview, the transit agency tweeted.

According to a tweet from Metra, inbound and outbound service was initially halted on the Milwaukee District North Line at approximately 7:02 p.m.

At 7:26 PM, Metra tweeted that incoming and outgoing trains could be delayed up to 40 minutes. Additional information about the lead-up to the incident was not immediately available.
