Matt Richardson suffers ‘a lot of memory loss’ from brain infection

Former Xtra Factor presenter Matt Richardson was hospitalized after amnesia due to a brain infection.

The 31-year-old, who competed in Dancing On Ice last year, said he had developed “a lot of amnesia” that caused him to try to put his memories back together.

The comedian shared a photo of him and his brother at a Green Day concert at Dublin’s Marlay Park last week, which he cannot remember.

Matt wrote: “My brother and I went to Green Day in Dublin last week.

“And unfortunately I can’t remember because I had a nice infection that caused some amazing effects on my brain and a lot of memory loss.

“After a really nice trip to the hospital, I’m trying to get it all back together.

“Hopefully the memories will come back, but if I owe you money, I’m sorry you’re on your own.”

Matt received many good wishes in the mail, with Love Island host Laura Whitmore commenting: “Hope you’re doing well!!!”

Matt is perhaps best known for his performance presenting ITV2 spin-off show The Xtra Factor alongside the late Caroline Flack in 2013.

He has since served as a drive-time presenter on Virgin Radio UK and co-presented Celebrity Haunted Hotel Live and Celebrity Haunted Mansion with Christine Lampard.
