‘Bumper to bumper’ on Coq
Traffic on Larson Hill was closed on Monday, May 23, 2022.
The journey home after a long weekend inland can be a long one for some travelers heading to the lower mainland.
Traffic is slow on Monday on the Coquihalla Highway between Merritt and Hope.
One Castanet reader called it “bumper to bumper.”
DriveBC posted on Twitter advising drivers that due to the ongoing construction on the route, delays can be expected for southbound traffic until volume decreases. Motorists should pay attention to road personnel, lane closures and reduced speed zones.
It’s not the only part of the interior going slow this long weekend.
DriveBC says there are three sails waiting for the Needles Ferry on Highway 6 across Upper Arrow Lake. Travelers there should expect major delays.
