Leah Remini urges fans not to be fooled by Tom Cruise’s ‘movie star charm’
While Tom Cruise’s “Top Gun: Maverick” made another $50 million at the box office this weekend, Leah Remini and her boyfriend, Claire Headley, criticized the star on social media for his continued participation in Scientology. “Thank you to my friend @claireheadley for your courage,” wrote Leah, whose own Scientology background inspired her award-winning A&E series on the Church’s adverse effects on members, on Saturday, June 11. “You have continued to speak your mind despite Scientology’s non-stop attacks,” the actress continued. “Tom Cruise knows exactly what’s going on in Scientology. Don’t be fooled by the movie star’s charm,” she added. Leah then shared a lengthy Facebook post from Claire that read in part, “Glad you Top Gun fans are enjoying the new movie. Personally, recent posts about this movie only remind me of Tom Cruise and his crimes against humanity.” She went on to write, “Destroying families is a crime against humanity”, asking, “When was the last time Tom spoke to his only biological daughter Suri?” Claire also accused Tom of promoting “a dangerous cult that destroyed my family”, claiming it was “the same cult that forced me to have two abortions” and followed her “across state lines” when she escaped. She then swore not to see Tom’s film or “support” him in any way. “Believe me, Tom Cruise knows exactly who he supports and the abuses the organization is committing,” she wrote. “I worked with him when I was there.” After its strong box office show on its third weekend, “Top Gun: Maverick” is poised to earn $1 billion worldwide, Forbes reported Sunday.

Op-ed writer criticizes Rebel Wilson for going out on Ramona Agruma romance before publishing story about it
In the wake of Rebel Wilson’s recent announcement that she has fallen in love with Ramona Agruma, The Sydney Morning Herald published an op-ed claiming that Rebel was not playing fair when the paper gave her a deadline to comment on an apparently planned story. about the romance. “In a perfect world, ‘getaway’ relationships with same-sex celebrities should be a redundant concept by 2022,” wrote Sydney Hornery. “As Rebel Wilson knows, we don’t live in a perfect world.” That’s why, he said, “out of an abundance of caution and respect,” he emailed Rebel’s representatives “on Thursday morning, giving her two days to comment on her new relationship…before she singled out. word published.” The writer then appeared to criticize Rebel for not playing nice with the newspaper’s apparent plan to publish a story about her romance, regardless of her participation. “Big mistake,” the opinion continued. “Wilson chose to overlook the story and posted on Instagram early Friday morning about her new ‘Disney Princess’…” He added that she had previously used Insta to “brag about” a new, wealthy boyfriend. In real estate, “gazumping” is when a party defaults on a perceived, if not completed, sale agreement. Here, as multiple Twitter users pointed out, the writer never says Rebel agreed to his timeline for her participation, so it reads like an ultimatum. “So apparently it wasn’t @RebelWilson’s choice to come out…,” journalist Doak Kate wrote per People. “The @smh/@theage admitted to warning her two days in advance that they would ‘out’ her.” Rebel responded to Kate’s tweet by writing: “Thank you for your comments, it was a very difficult situation but tried to handle it with grace.” In a statement following the response, The Herald’s editor Bevan Shields denied that the outlet intended to “out” Rebel as gay. “Our weekly celebrity column in Private Sydney last week asked Wilson to comment on her new partner. We would have asked the same questions if Wilson’s new partner had been a man. To say the Herald is ‘outed’ Wilson, Bevan is wrong,” wrote. “…We simply asked questions and as standard practice there was a deadline for a response. I had not made a decision on whether or not to publish and the Herald’s decision on what to do would have been informed by any response Wilson had given.” The editor added: “We wish Wilson and Agrum the best.”

Britney Spears’ mother and sister react to wedding photos after not being invited
Britney Spears’ mother, Lynne Spears, and sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, both supported the singer on social media after she married Sam Asghari, despite not being invited to the wedding amid tensions dating back to Britain’s now-defunct attended conservatory. “You look radiant and so happy!” Lynne responded to a gallery of photos on Britney’s Instagram feed. “Your wedding is the ‘Dream’ wedding!
