The public end of the artist formerly known as Kanye West’s feud with Drake gets a reflective mention on Kendrick Lamar’s new album mr. Morale & The Big Steppers†
In the Sampha-featuring Disc 1 track “Father Time”, Kendrick briefly cites the feud destroyed by noting that the ending left him “somewhat confused”. In the next line, Kendrick ponders what this initial response might mean in terms of maturity and healing:
“When Kanye got back to Drake, I was a little confused”
I guess I’m not mature the way I think I’ve got some healing to do”

The fact that Ye and Drake put their problems aside eventually resulted in the Amazon-streamed Free Larry Hoover Benefit Concert, which was remarkably put together in just 18 days. Gabe Fraboni, founder of PHNTM, who served as Ye’s production lead at the event, told Complex in December, revealing that the evening’s special effects were the “greatest unknown” in terms of scheduling.
