Justin Bieber cancels Toronto concerts at the last minute

Fans excited to see Justin Bieber in concert tonight will have to make other plans.

The pop superstar was set to perform Tuesday and Wednesday nights at the Scotiabank Arena in downtown Toronto, but has announced those shows are now being postponed.

“Can’t believe I’m saying this,” read a post on Bieber’s Instagram at about 2pm

“I did everything I could to get better, but my illness is getting worse. It breaks my heart that I will have to postpone the upcoming shows (doctor orders).”

It is not clear exactly how many shows have been postponed.

The entirety of Bieber’s Justice World Tour 2022 had been postponed twice before due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Bieber’s name was trending on Twitter Tuesday afternoon and more than a few tweets seem to suggest that fans with tickets aren’t happy about the last-minute news.

Scotiabank Arena issued a statement on Twitter regarding the pair’s canceled shows in Toronto and said existing tickets will be honored when new dates are announced.

The Arena added that Bieber’s disease is not related to COVID-19.
