And now music lovers can enjoy Change – a psych-funk track loaded with heavy synths and influenced by 70’s hit acts such as T. Rex and Parliament Funkadelic.

DECIDE – Djo’s new album – is the follow-up to TWENTY TWENTY, his acclaimed guitar-forward record from 2019.

The new work will feature Joe’s reflections on growth, relationships and coping with a technology-centric world during his late twenties.

DECIDE was created with musician/engineer Adam Thein amid the pandemic, with the final recording at Sound Factory in Los Angeles.

TWENTY TWENTY was also his first solo effort since the departure of his band, the Chicago psych rock outfit Post Animal.

Despite the breakthrough star’s fame as fan favorite Steve Harrington in Stranger Things, Joe has been making music since his teens.

He spent over two years with Post Animal before making his solo debut as a Djo.

From the release of TWENTY TWENTY and subsequent singles, Djo’s music has enjoyed tremendous success.

#Djo has nearly 42 million hits on TikTok, with over 100 million Spotify and Apple streams worldwide. Joe self-releases all of his music through AWAL.

Djo has performed live throughout 2022, testing DECIDE’s songs and performing at Shaky Knees, Boston Calling and Bottle Rock festivals this year so far.

It comes at a time when the 80s nostalgic music in Stranger Things was recently making waves when Kate Bush responded in a rare interview that “the world has gone mad” to the extraordinary success of her 1985 song Running Up That Hill.

Speaking on BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour podcast on Wednesday, the singer, 63, admitted she “never thought” her song would become so popular after it featured in the Netflix hit.

The song originally reached number three in 1985, but reached number one 37 years later.

During the chat, Kate also mentioned that she hadn’t listened to the track for “a very long time” and was actually a fan of Stranger Things before her song appeared in it.

Last week Kate’s song – the lead track from her Hounds Of Love album – peaked at number two behind Harry Style’s As It Was, but on Friday it was revealed that the ’80s song had put the former One Direction star on the post.

Kate is now the oldest singer to hit a No. 1 single in the UK, taking over the record from Cher, who hit the top spot with Believe in 1998.

It marks the first time Kate has been at number one since her debut single, Wuthering Heights, hit number one in 1978 when she was just 19. This means she also holds the record for the longest gap between number one at 44 years.

Running Up That Hill is also currently number one in Australia, New Zealand, Sweden and Switzerland and has reached a new peak in the US charts at number four.

Earlier this month, the trailer for Volume 2 of the fourth season of Stranger Things was released.

The first seven episodes of Season 4 debuted on May 27, with Part 2 consisting of just two episodes, although they are much, much longer than regular episodes.

The eighth episode lasts one hour and 25 minutes, while the ninth episode lasts almost two and a half hours.
