Jess Wright has revealed that her son had to have an emergency C-section after he became less active.

The former star of The Only Way Is Essex confirmed that she gave birth five days before her due date and that she originally “planned” to have a natural birth.

The 36-year-old reality star had her husband, 39-year-old businessman William Lee-Kemp, and mother Carol Wright, a panelist for Loose Women, by her side during the ordeal.

Jess explained how the boy Presley gave birth by caesarean section at London’s Portland Hospital on May 17, after noticing his movements had slowed down.

Talking to Hello! magazine, she said, “In those last few weeks he’d been so active and then all of a sudden it just went away completely, which was really scary, so our doctor told us to get to the hospital right away.”

After medics spent 48 hours trying to induce labor, Jess explained how they discovered his heart rate was dropping.

She said they thought it might have been because he was in an awkward position, so she made the decision to get him out quickly by cesarean section.

She continued: “I had been so determined to have a natural birth and have that experience while doing all the hypnobirthing, but I had a feeling of ‘this is our destiny, this is how it’s supposed to be done’, and we accepted it, then got excited that it happened so quickly.”

She boldly admitted that she felt the need to be “strong and positive” rather than panicking, calling it “incredible, surreal and overwhelming”.

The star went on to reveal that the child’s sweet name was something it had chosen a few months earlier.

She admitted that she had fallen in love with the name when she was just eight weeks pregnant and felt that nothing else suited him either.

She also admitted that the couple adored their child’s middle name, Stone, and said it was “wonderful” being a mother.

“It’s such an intense, crazy time to have your first child and not know what to expect,” she added. “We learn more every day.”

And she also gushed about brother Mark’s love of being an uncle, but confessed that his actress wife Michelle Keegan has yet to meet the toddler as she is currently filming in Australia.

Jess first announced she was pregnant in November after she tied the knot with her husband in Mallorca in September.

The couple married in a lavish ceremony on the popular Spanish island before partying at a poolside reception.
