In a video of the concert shared by Twitter user @stephxvg, Halsey was seen walking across the stage pleading with her fans to take action following Friday’s United States Supreme Court ruling overturning the historic Roe vs. Wade decision on abortion rights overturned.

“I’m looking at all of you and I don’t want you ever to be in a situation where you can’t access that,” the pop star said. “Some of the people I’m looking at right now will one day need an abortion, and you deserve it.”

“Whether it’s a life-threatening situation or not, you deserve it. And here in Arizona you have to promise me that you’re going to do that work so that the person on your left and on your right has that right for the rest of their lives.”

At both concerts, Halsey led the audience with rousing songs from ‘My body, my choice’.

On Tuesday, the New Jersey resident defended herself against those who criticized her for speaking her mind during her performances.

“No, you paid to see me use a stage as a form of expression in the way I choose. Sorry you lack the critical thinking to realize that the rhetorical power of music doesn’t always serve your escapism.’

In another tweet, they expressed their appreciation for their fans by writing, “Honored to have my audience. They proudly cultivate a space where emotion and action meet. Like to do what I do. And expect me to always tell the truth when I get up there. The show must go on.’

Halsey quoted a follower who wrote, “It’s been rough here. we had to be furious and cry and scream and laugh. we all had to do that with you last night.’
