Gatineau police say an investigation launched in April culminated in two raids in Hull last week, yielding more than 640 grams of cocaine, about 80 grams of crack and just over $7,000 in cash.
Officers executed search warrants at addresses on Europe Boulevard and Mont-Bleu Boulevard on the morning of June 17, in an operation aimed at “ending a drug trafficking network operating in Gatineau,” police said Thursday.
Also, 233 unspecified pills, 360 smuggled cigarettes, drug packages and paraphernalia and two mobile phones were seized, police said.
A 48-year-old resident of Gatineau was arrested and released after questioning. Charges relating to drug possession for the purpose of human trafficking and possession of crime-acquired property must be filed with prosecutors.
A 58-year-old Gatineau man will also face charges against the Tobacco Tax Act.
