Fox News Refuses To Broadcast Violence On Jan. 6 As He dismisses hearing as “boring” and “propaganda”

Fox News was the only news network not to deliver the first day of the Jan. 6 committee hearings, as the hosts repeatedly screwed up the two-hour hearing without giving their audience any of the content.

The commission has detailed a lengthy case against former President Donald Trump’s role, using clips of statements by former Attorney General Bill Barr, former White House adviser Ivanka Trump and other former officials to show Trump is committed to it. was well aware that his fraud claims were false even as he continued. to instigate his supporters for the deadly riots in the Capitol. The commission also played a new video of the violence taking place at the Capitol and questioned Capitol police officer Caroline Edwards and documentary filmmaker Nick Quested, who was associated with the Proud Boys, about what was going on.

Fox News viewers were the only news viewers not to see Thursday night’s hearing.

At one point, when the commission showed scathing footage of the violence at the Capitol, Fox News cut away from the side image showing the hearing to a stretched shot of the hearing room.

Host Tucker Carlson bragged that his network was the only one not to broadcast the hearings — which were even broadcast live by far-right Newsmax.

“This is the only hour on a US news channel that will not be broadcasting their propaganda live,” Carlson said. “They’re lying and we’re not going to help them. What we will do instead is try to tell you the truth.”

Matt Gertz of Media Matters reported that not once Carlson went to commercial break during the hearing he failed to show.

“Fox is desperate to prevent its viewers from switching channels and seeing the hearing in real time,” Gertz tweetedand added that “they are so eager to push his propaganda that they are putting money on the table to do it.”

Fellow presenter Sean Hannity also didn’t air anything from the hearing, describing it as the “dullest, the most boring—there’s absolutely nothing new—more hour-long Democratic fundraiser disguised as a January 6 hearing.”

After the hearing was concluded, Hannity stated that “the only person who looks good is Donald Trump.”

Although Hannity did not broadcast the hearing, he did appear. Rep. Liz Cheney, the committee’s vice chair, read Hannity’s text to former White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany.

“No more crazy people” and “no more stolen election talk… A lot of people will quit,” Hannity warned the White House spokeswoman. McEnany texted back, “I love that. Thank you. That’s the script.”

Former news anchor Dan Liever trashed the network for failing to broadcast the hearing Twitter: “Maybe the new catchphrase for Fox News should be ‘For those who can’t handle the truth.'”
