ANKARA, Turkey – An earthquake measuring 5.9 on the Richter scale hit a city in northwestern Turkey on Wednesday.
The earthquake occurred in the town of Golkaya, in Duzce province, about 200 kilometers east of Istanbul. It was felt in Istanbul and in the capital Ankara.
