Cruise ship plays theme ‘The Love Boat’ in Vancouver

That must be a pretty big horn.

It may sound a bit like a Hans Zimmer soundtrack, but when the Majestic Princess pulled out of Vancouver harbor it played a tribute to arguably the most famous cruise ship show of all time (sorry Breaker High fans).

As it creeps just under the Lions Gate Bridge, the opening of ‘The Love Boat’ is blown over the ship’s horns. It plays the part of the opening lyrics melody in the iconic show from the 70s and 80s.

What it lacks in showmanship and jazzy horn riffs it makes up for in sheer power, as TikTok user francis_batangpangasinan clearly captures the tones over the water on the seawall in Stanley Park.

The video is proving popular on the social media app, with more than 67,000 views.
