The prime minister has said it was “a mistake” to appoint Chris Pincher, and that it was “the wrong thing to do” to whip the MP’s deputy head.
Boris Johnson said the MP had behaved “very, very badly” and apologized to those affected.
The prime minister says a complaint was filed against Chris Pincher in the State Department three years ago.
Pincher has denied previous allegations of sexual misconduct. The BBC has approached him to comment on a complaint made about an alleged incident while he was Foreign Secretary
