Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount is reportedly set to sign a new deal when Todd Boehly’s ownership of the club officially goes ahead, following the current sanctions against the club.

Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount could become one of the club’s top earners after reportedly getting a great new deal to stay at Stamford Bridge.
Todd Boehly’s Chelsea purchase from Roman Abramovich has now been cleared by the Premier League and it looks like the new Blues hierarchy will hand 23-year-old Mount a major new deal that would earn him more than double his current wage.
Mount currently earns around £80,000 a week, despite winning the club’s Player of the Year award in each of the last two seasons. tie up one of their biggest stars.
It also claims that Mount is keen to extend his career at Stamford Bridge, having first joined the Blues as a six-year-old. Since making his debut from Frank Lampard in 2019, Mount has played 160 times for Chelsea, scored 30 goals and won the Champions League, the Club World Cup and the UEFA Super Cup in the past 12 months.
According to the report, his contract offer, which will be made official when the takeover is completed due to current sanctions against Chelsea, would be worth more than double his current salary.
Data from Sportrac claims Mount is currently earning £88,462 a week, giving him the 17th. makes e highest earner of the team of the 2021/22 season. However, an increase of more than double his salary would put him in the club’s top five players next season.

Striker Romelu Lukaku, who was signed to a club record with Inter Milan last summer, is said to be the club’s biggest earner with a contract that pays the Belgian £325,000 a week. Next on the list is 2018 World Cup winning midfielder N’Golo Kante, who reportedly earns £290,000 a week, closely followed by striker Timo Werner (£272,000).
Also in the current top five are Saul Niguez (£198,269) and Ben Chilwell (£190,000), although Saul is only loaned from Atletico Madrid this season and the Spaniard is unlikely to stay after the summer.
