Casualty’s Charles Venn pays tribute to sister after death

The actor, who plays Jacob Masters in the soap and appeared as Ray Dixon on EastEndersshared the sad news on his Instagram page, saying that his younger sibling passed away earlier this month.

“There really are no guarantees in life, other than the memories we make,” he captioned a photo of himself next to a cake. “My younger sister passed away unexpectedly on 9/22/2010, which deeply moved the family.

“Although we are in pain, we find comfort in knowing that it remains spiritually in our hearts. RIP to Linda Venn who is gone but never forgotten dear.

“So as a result, I wanted to share my joyful, albeit reflective, birthday celebration weekend,” added Charles.

“I’m sharing this with you simply to remind you that we should try to make the most of our time on Earth, forge as much of a legacy as possible, celebrate when the opportunity arises, because it could be your last #brotheroflindavenn to be.”

The actor has since received an outpouring of support on social media, with: Holby City and doctor who star Jo Martin writes in the comments: “Deepest condolences, I’m sorry for your loss.”
