Britney Spears’ ex-husband has been arrested for crushing her wedding site hours before the ceremony, authorities say.
Ventura County Sheriff’s Office Captain Cameron Henderson said police responded to a trespassing call after 2 p.m. Thursday.
He said Speers’ first husband, Jason Alexander, was being held at the site.
He said Mr Alexander was arrested after officers noticed he had a warrant for his arrest in another province.
Earlier on Thursday, Alexander broadcast a live video from his Instagram account as he approached event security.
After reaching the grounds, he managed to reach the second floor of the house.
“Where’s Britney?” Mr. Alexander is heard asking a guard to tell him to leave.
Mr. Alexander then enters the wedding tent, inside which can be seen several empty rows of wooden benches.
“She’s my first wife, my only wife,” said Alexander, who was briefly married to Spears — his childhood friend — in 2014.
Their marriage lasted only 55 hours.
Variety reported that officers were still investigating the alleged violation and would determine whether charges would be filed against Alexander.
Spears and her fiancé Sam Asghari met on the set of a music video in 2016. They announced their engagement last September, shortly before Spears won a legal battle with her family and was released from a 13-year conservatory in November.
A Spears representative did not immediately return a request for comment.
