Boston Public Market now has its very first bar.

It’s a cocktail bar called The Pine Bar, and it offers beer, wine, and spirits from all over New England.

The bar is owned and operated by The Filmmark Hospitality Group, known for Ristorante Lucia and Filippo Ristorante in the North End, as well as Cunard Tavern in East Boston.

The Pine Bar will open on Thursday, June 16.

“From the inception of the Boston Public Market, our goal has been to add a bar—a place for locals and visitors alike to come together and raise a glass to the unifying power of food and to celebrate New England’s abundance,” Boston Public Market CEO Cheryl Cronin said in a press release about the bar.

“Checking this item off our bucket list while working with a local entrepreneur who understands the history of our region and the importance of local sourcing is a dream, and we can’t wait to share it with all of our customers.”

The Pine Bar features a 10-tap cast iron pull system that forms the centerpiece of the space, the release said. Patrons can pull up a stool or wander the market with a drink in hand, eating food bought in the market at the bar.

In addition to New England spirits, wine and beer, the press release said the bar’s cocktail ingredients, such as produce, dairy, juices and sweeteners, will highlight Boston Public Market vendors.

Visitors to the Boston Public Market can spot The Pine Bar thanks to its vintage-inspired neon sign that pays tribute to The European Restaurant – Boston’s old Italian flagship restaurant, which used to be just a few blocks from where the Boston Public Market currently stands, according to the release.

Nearly five decades after my father Filippo moved to Boston and opened Ristorante Lucia on Hanover Street in 1977, our family is proud to open the Boston Public Market’s first bar, where we can celebrate our adopted North End and New England neighborhood. . region,” said Philip Frattaroli, managing partner of the Filmmark Hospitality Group, in the press release.
