Bolton: Oasis themed bar Absolutely Maybe is relaunching

Bolton’s own Oasis-themed bar officially relaunched on Thursday after moving to a bigger venue with three times the space.

Definitely Perhaps it has become a popular destination to travel to in the city since it opened about two and a half years ago.

The bar is known for hosting artists and mixing great cocktails in their venue downstairs on Mawdsley Street.

They have now moved to the former Blind Tiger site – just a short walk away in Nelson Square – to recreate the same great atmosphere in a larger venue.

Paul Gallagher previously told The Bolton News: “It will almost triple our capacity.

“It’s good because it can help musicians play to the bigger audience they deserve.

“It will be a real live music venue.

‘Bolton doesn’t really have one of this size.

“It is exciting.

“I feel like Nelson Square can be a bit of a destination. Not only for people in Bolton, but also for people who come from outside.

“Like it used to be.”

The venue has two main floors and in addition to the main stage, there is also a VIP area on the top floor, with a balcony that overlooks the stage.

There are plans for a “suspended” stage on the middle floor so that “solo performers can be seen from every part of the venue”.
