BBC The One Show fans say the same after ‘awkward’ interview with Rowan Atkinson

Fans of The One Show continued to say the same after Rowan Atkinson gave interviews on the BBC program on Wednesday evening (June 22). The Blackadder and Mr Bean star was on the magazine-style show to discuss his new Netflix show Man vs Bee.

But fans of the show were less impressed when they labeled the interview “awkward.” Viewers were outraged when they accused presenters Jermaine Jenas and Angela Scanlon of “interfering” and not letting the star speak.

They took to Twitter to comment. Jane Maddison said: “Wasted! You had the incredibly talented Rowan Atkinson in the studio and you barely spoke to him and when you did you quickly killed him! C*** with #TheOneShow.”

Karen GR wrote: “Please get some more professional presenters…this is so awkward #theoneshow.” David added: “#TheOneShow futile to get Rowan Atkinson if you ask him a question then stay away from it and try to silence him!”

Paul repeated: “I don’t think I’ve ever seen a more awkward dude than Rowan Atkinson. The introverted person comes out, clearly not an experience he enjoys. #TheOneShow.”

In the Netflix comedy, Rowan plays a homeless man looking for a job when he is mistaken by a businesswoman for her new nanny. Crazy hi-jinks ensue as he tries to take care of this house while being chased by a mischievous bee.
