Baby Archie’s Godparents Have Finally Been Revealed

Well, it looks like we And last but not least (kinda) know who has named Meghan Markle and Prince Harry as the godparents of their son Archie. According to a new report from the Sunday Times, the Sussexes named Prince Harry’s nanny Tiggy Pettifer (formerly Legge-Bourke) as Archie’s godmother, along with Harry’s close friend and mentor, Mark Dyer as godfather. Note: It is likely that there are many more people on the list who are still unknown as the royals usually choose a lot of godparents for their children.

Keep in mind that Harry and Meghan himself Archie’s godparents have not confirmed, and it’s unlikely they will as they seek a more private life in North America. The couple recently announced that they are stepping back as senior royals, a major decision that has received the Queen’s approval.

Harry recently made his first public statement about the move, explaining in part that he and Meghan will continue to live a life of service:

“I was born into this life and it is a great honor to serve my country and the Queen. When I lost my mother 23 years ago, you took me under your wing. You took care of me for so long, but the media is a powerful force, and I hope that one day our collective support for each other can be more powerful because this is so much bigger than just us. It was our privilege to serve you, and we will continue to live a lifetime of service. It was also a privilege to meet so many of you and feel your excitement for our son Archie, who recently saw snow for the first time and thought it was damn brilliant!’
