Armed protesters protest Drag Storytime in Columbus

Protesters protested Saturday morning, December 3, in Columbus, Ohio, against a transvestite party planned by a local school. Red Oak Community School canceled the event, intended to have three drag performers read stories to children on Saturday morning due to a scheduled performance by the Proud Boys. Video filmed by Brendan Gutenschwager shows protesters marching through the streets of Columbus, many with their faces obscured by identical face coverings, and some carrying tactical gear and weapons. Protesters chanted “life, liberty, victory” and “reclaiming America,” among other things. The images show two protesters giving the Nazi salute. The Patriot Front said its members were at the demonstration. Counter-demonstrators were seen holding rainbow and transgender flags. Credit: Brendan Gutenschwager via Storyful
