American actor Bill Murray spotted in the crowd at the All-Ireland semifinals

American actor Bill Murray attended the All-Ireland Hurling Semi-Final between Limerick and Galway today in Croke Park, along with noted businessman JP McManus.

he two made an appearance in the Championship quarter-final in June at Semple Stadium in Thurles, where Galway secured their spot in the semi-final.

Murray, who has starred in such classic films as ‘Ghostbusters’, ‘Lost in Translation’ and ‘Groundhog Day’, was spotted in the swing semifinals today.

He is a frequent visitor to Ireland and on this trip he will not only attend the hurling but will also participate in JP McManus’ Pro-Am golf tournament at Adare Manor this Monday and Tuesday.

Set to compete in St Andrews two weeks before The Open, the Pro-Am will feature 20 of the world’s top 31 golfers, including Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry.

These professional golfers will be joined by a host of famous players, making this event one of the best gatherings of elite golfers in Ireland in many years.

In addition to Bill Murray, celebrities such as Niall Horan, Jamie Dornan, Kenny Dalglish and Shane Filan also compete in the Pro-Am.

The event was originally scheduled for July 2020, but was postponed twice due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
