After days of pressure, Kathy Barnette releases a DD-214

Pennsylvania Senate candidate Kathy Barnette released a DD-214 on Saturday detailing her early months of active service in the military, amid scrutiny of her previous statements that she served 10 years in the armed forces.

Barnette posted the DD-214 on Twitter, after nearly a week of questions from reporters trying to check her track record and asking for that particular document, raising the question of whether the rising candidate was ready for a November general election.

The DD-214 shows the first few months of her military career in 1990 – what would be basic training and advanced individual training for her military vocational specialty (MOS), which was an administrative specialist at the time.

Retired Colonel Kurt Schlicter, who backs Barnette’s opponent David McCormick in the race, told Breitbart News after reviewing the DD-214 that Barnette released, “There’s nothing I notice that’s unusual.”

Barnette only released her NGB-22 last week, which is the equivalent of a DD-214, but for Army National Guard soldiers.

The NGB-22 showed her enlistment in 1990 and three years later with the Alabama Army National Guard, where she served from 1993 to 1998. 10 years of service.

The military also first confirmed to Breitbart News that Barnette had served in the Army National Guard from 1993 to 1998 and in the Army Reserve from 1998 to 2000. had left the military more than 15 years ago.

However, more questions were raised even after Barnette released her NGB-22, when she confirmed in some interviews that she had a DD-214 for her first three years in the military on active duty, but didn’t say if she would release it. .

The Senate primary race is statistically a tie between the Trump-approved candidate, Mehmet Oz, McCormick and Barnette.

The primaries are on Tuesday.
